The Importance Of Live Music

The importance of live music is a great one, especially in it’s ability to connect communities through a shared passion of the arts. Depicted below is our student Tarea and Georgetown local Darcy Yates from the band Flash Lightnin’ at The First Ontario Place in Hamilton Ontario. Flash Lightnin’ shared the bill with ZZ Top for a night of cookin’ rock music. You can find their music here:



Foyays Birthday Bash – A Celebration Of Life

A charitable event will be held on Saturday February 28th in honor of Jordan Taylor Boyer, who passed  away on March 7th 2014 in a house fire along with two other young adults (Katie Charron and Alysia Graham). The event will take place on Jordan’s birthday weekend in the back room of The McGibbon Hotel, and will feature a live music, a silent auction, and much more. Tickets are available at Pine Cone Music for the price of $20.00 each. All proceeds go to Sketch charity, which provides creative training initiatives for street-involved, homeless and at-risk youth.

WIN A UKULELE – Valentines Day Food Drive

Help Pine Cone spread the love this Valentines day by participating in our food drive. Contestants will receive one ballot per donated non perishable food item in order to win a special Valentines Day Ukulele. The draw will be held on Saturday February 14th 2015. All non perishable food items will be donated to The Georgetown Breadbasket.
